What Is a Clearwater, Florida Accident Report?

After an accident, someone typically calls 911 to request police presence. Officers will quickly arrive and begin thoroughly investigating the scene of the Clearwater auto accident. They will ask questions, survey the scene, and gather as much information as possible. All of this information is then turned into a Clearwater crash report that can be obtained by the involved and their attorneys.

An accident report contains plenty of information about the accident.

Clearwater accident reports include:

  • Names of every party involved;
  • Date, time, and location of the accident;
  • Insurance information for everyone involved;
  • Weather and road conditions at the time the crash occurred;
  • Whether anyone violated any laws and any tickets given;
  • Injuries sustained by parties involved;
  • Details regarding damage to vehicles and the surrounding area; and
  • Any other important information.

After a police report becomes available, you or your injury lawyer may want to request a copy. This report can prove to be a crucial part of your claim.
